Melbourne Model and Professional Qualification

The University of Melbourne has launched a new initiative, called Melbourne Model, that reforms education in Australia. These reforms are designed to create an outstanding and distinctive Melbourne Experience for all students. In moving to the new model, the University is responding to the challenges of today’s changing environment as well as aligning itself with the best of European and Asian practice and North American traditions.

Under Melbourne Model, it is expected that (most) students will first study a broader undergraduate program (3 years) followed by a Professional Masters (2 year) program. For more details, please visit http://www.futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/courses/melbmodel/

The existing Masters by coursework programs such as “Master of Engineering in Distributed Computing” will continue to be offered.

Of course, research high degree programs such as Masters by Research and PhD will continue to be offered with high distinction.
